Painting Adirondack Wildlife on natures own canvas.
The artist conk or "shelf mushroom" is a naturally occurring fungus.
It grows on tree trunks or on the sides of stumps and fallen logs. It's shape is wide
and flat and itmay grow up to 20" in width.
The artist conk is perfect as a natural canvas because of its hard exterior
and flat painting surface.
