For over 30 years Debora Everett has been painting North American wildlife and scenery. As an artist she has dedicated herself to creating artwork that captures the true essence of her subjects.
Throughout the years Debora has tried many different mediums and surfaces. Of these, she seems to return most often to acrylic paints and canvas. Recently Debora has begun to experiment with painting on three dimensional surfaces. She does this in two ways. One, by building the surface of the canvas from the bottom up, using large gallery wrapped canvases and sculpting a portion of the foreground such as trees rock ledges and some animals to give a more lifelike affect. Two, by using nature’s own natural three dimensional canvas, the artist conk. Each artist conk varies in size, shape and character.
